This will bring up the 'Add Light Gun' window. Click on the combo box next to 'Default Light Gun', and select 'OpenFire' in the list. Fields will be automatically filled and greyed out. Only the items next to red test need to be filled out, or change if needed. Please see below on what is needed.

Click on the 'Edit', and then click the 'Edit Light Gun', which will bring up the 'Edit Light Gun' window. Select the light gun, from the first combo box. Then make the needed edits. Once done, then click the 'Edit' button in the bottom right, which will make a sound to confirm the edit. Also, the light gun can be deleted.

Recoil with Hook of the Reaper

I strongly advise that all OpenFire light gun users, using Hook of the Reaper, use Vidal's recoil settings. I and all the people I know with an OpenFire, have used the setting, and all agree that is makes recoil a lot better. The setting can be found at: Vidal's OpenFire Recoil Settings.

Display Settings Found in Settings

The OpenFire light gun has a small monochrome LCD. The are two general display settings that affect the OpenFire light gun. The first is display priority of ammo or life. This is for if both ammo and life can be displayed in a game, then the priority chooses which one to display. If only one can be displayed, then that one will be displayed. The second option is to enable 'Display Other'. This is used to display an output signal value to the display. Used for debug and advance user, as the game file has to be edit to put the 'Display_Other' command with the targeted signal. \\

OpenFire Settings Found in Settings

The first setting, is how to display life, as there are 3 options. The first is with a glyphs, which looks like a heart. Up to 10 glyphs can be displayed at one time. The second is a bar, that goes from 0% to 100%. The last option is to display a two digit number. When life is display alone, it will use this setting, to know how to show the life value. The second setting, is to enable showing ammo and life on a split screen. If this is enabled, then the option to show life as a number goes away, as it is needed for the ammo. So, only life glyphs or life bar is available in the first setting. Below, is an embedded YouTube video, previewing all the OpenFire display options.
