RS 3 Reaper
Add Retro Shooter RS3 Reaper to Hook of the Reaper
Hook of the Reaper starts in the tray icon. Open the tray icon and click on the Hook of the Reaper icon, and the program will go onto the desktop. Then click 'File' and then click 'Add Light Gun'. This will bring up the 'Add Light Gun' window. Click on the combo box next to 'Default Light Gun', and select 'Retro Shooter: RS3 Reaper' in the list. Fields will be automatically filled and greyed out. Only the items next to red text need to be filled out, or change if needed. Please see below on what is needed.
Beginner
- Enter a Name
- Select Light Gun COM Port
Other Options on 2nd Tab
- Assign Recoil Priority
- Select Reload
- Select Damage
- Select Death
- Select Shake Feature
Reaper Options on 3rd Tab
- Disable Side LED Control
- Change Large Ammo Value
- Enable Skip Auto LED Command
- Disable Slide Hold Back
- Slide Hold Back Settings
Once completed, then click the 'Add' button on the bottom right of the window. It will play a sound, and make the light gun list go up by one. If something was not filled out right, a pop-up warning message will happen. Then can correct the issue.
Four RS3 Reaper Bugs
Hold Slide Back for Full Auto Games
This bug has been taken case of fully in software, by Hook of the Reaper. Setting for it can be change on the 3rd tab. Also, the user can disable the hold slide feature. Since there is no ammo value on the 3 Nixxou's emulators, the slide will not be held back.
Auto LED Bug
This happens to the RS3 Reaper, when going into external control, and then using the Auto LED command. When the Auto LED command is used, it will stop blocking the rumble motor, when the reload button is pressed. Anytime the reload button is pressed, it will rumble the light gun. The light gun is doing this, and not Hook of the Reaper. Also, if the reload button is held down, the light gun will constantly rumble. This was partially fixed by Hook of the Reaper. This bug will happen in any other Hooker program. There is a setting, to skip the Auto LED command, all the time.
Two RS3 Reaper Hold Back Makes Them Reset
This is a hardware problem, were the power supply cannot source enough current to the 2 RS3 Reapers, when the slide is held back at the same time. A 24V 4A or more power supply is needed to fix this problem.
Reduce Recoil DIP Switch Setting Ignored
When the RS3 Reaper goes into external control, it will ignore the reduce recoil DIP switch setting. There is no fix for this.
Edit Light Gun
Click on the 'Edit', and then click the 'Edit Light Gun', which will bring up the 'Edit Light Gun' window. Select the light gun, from the first combo box. Then make the needed edits. Once done, then click the 'Edit' button in the bottom right, which will make a sound to confirm the edit. Also, the light gun can be deleted.
